Role Description
This role involves acting as the lead legal partner for the Go-to-Market organization, shaping and executing legal strategies for revolutionary commercial arrangements that foster innovation and growth.
- Serve as the lead commercial counsel for the Go-to-Market team, driving legal strategy and execution for complex and innovative commercial arrangements supporting AI services, PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.
- Act as a key liaison, strategy advisor, and contract lead for partnerships, including resellers and ecosystem partners.
- Oversee the development and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to support contract lifecycle management and process automation.
- Advise on compliance with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Support M&A initiatives including contract diligence and integration.
- Lead or participate in special projects and high-priority initiatives as assigned.
- Manage a small team of legal operations professionals.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
- 10+ years of legal experience, with significant in-house work supporting commercial transactions in technology.
- Proven expertise in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex commercial agreements.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and emerging AI offerings.
- Experience designing and scaling legal operations frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various business teams.
- Excellent business judgment, communication, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
