Role Description

This role focuses on helping improve the diagnostic reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems by designing and evaluating complex radiology case scenarios.

  • Contribute to the development of expert-level diagnostic challenges and gold-standard solutions
  • Support training of AI systems to better understand real-world radiology workflows

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Case Development
    • Design complex radiology case scenarios based on real clinical workflows
    • Develop challenging diagnostic questions involving nuanced imaging interpretation
    • Highlight edge cases and complex differential diagnoses, particularly in MSK and neuroradiology
  • AI Evaluation & Model Training
    • Evaluate how AI systems respond to advanced radiology case questions
    • Identify reasoning gaps and common failure modes in model responses
    • Provide structured feedback to improve clinical reasoning capabilities in AI systems
  • Expert Solution Authoring
    • Write gold-standard diagnostic explanations with clear clinical reasoning
    • Demonstrate how expert radiologists approach complex imaging interpretation

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Currently PGY-4 or above in an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Currently based in the United States
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in Musculoskeletal Radiology and/or Neuroradiology
  • Academic or teaching experience with residents or fellows
  • Experience creating case-based assessments, exam questions, or grading rubrics
  • Experience interpreting complex MRI studies or subspecialty imaging workflows
