Role Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Chief Product Security Officer - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will drive the global product security strategy to protect the digital framework of the power industry, including Embedded Systems, Industrial Control Systems, and SaaS offerings. Your guidance will form the foundation of secure product development, fostering collaboration with engineering and product teams to create resilient and reliable solutions. As a thought leader, you will enhance security practices in the industry and mentor teams to continuously elevate awareness and technical expertise. This is an opportunity to shape the future of security in critical infrastructures while promoting innovation in digitalization and safeguarding customer trust.

  • Establish and communicate a shared vision for product security excellence across Embedded, ICS, and SaaS portfolios.
  • Develop and operationalize a unified product security strategy across regions and business lines.
  • Embed security by design through the entire product lifecycle—from concept and development to deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Coordinate global product incident response and vulnerability management to reduce risk and accelerate remediation.
  • Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to address security concerns and build lasting partnerships.
  • Mentor and develop internal teams to elevate technical rigor and a culture of security awareness.
  • Represent the organization at forums, conferences, and thought leadership events to advance our stance in the market.
  • Raise awareness and educate product stakeholders on integrating security at the design stage to support reliability and safety outcomes.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in leadership within a complex global organization.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in product security roles, including global team management.
  • Extensive experience leading security initiatives for Embedded and/or Industrial Control Systems in a global context.
  • Demonstrated expertise securing SaaS offerings across architecture, deployment, and ongoing operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AI deployment in new and existing products, including security guardrails, testing, and deployment best practices.
  • Proven track record building and scaling product security programs in complex, multinational environments.
  • Direct experience collaborating with customers to understand requirements and deliver tailored security solutions.
  • Strong R&D background with deep understanding of the product lifecycle and integrating security into development processes.
  • Recognized thought leadership in product security (e.g., publications, speaking engagements, industry accolades).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CSSLP) strongly preferred.
