Job Description

Senior Community Manager

Team: Community
Location: Flexible / Remote
Reporting to: VP of Community

Role Overview

Rwazi’s Community function represents the human surface area of the company — contributors, mappers, enterprise clients, and ecosystem partners.

The Senior Community Manager owns ecosystem strategy.

This role defines how these groups connect, interact, and reinforce one another within the broader Rwazi network.

Community at this level is not messaging.
It is network architecture.

The Senior Community Manager ensures Rwazi’s ecosystem compounds in trust, density, and strategic value over time.

Core Mandate

The Senior Community Manager is accountable for:

  • Designing the structure of Rwazi’s ecosystem

  • Strengthening relationships across users, mappers, clients, and partners

  • Creating cross-node interaction within the network

  • Increasing ecosystem resilience and loyalty

  • Protecting long-term trust capital

This role builds durable relational infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Ecosystem Architecture

  • Define how contributors, enterprise users, and partners interact

  • Design structured engagement models across stakeholder groups

  • Create pathways for collaboration and shared value

  • Reduce ecosystem fragmentation

Multi-Stakeholder Relationship Strategy

  • Maintain strong relationships across core ecosystem segments

  • Identify trust gaps or sentiment risk early

  • Develop structured communication strategies per segment

  • Balance enterprise professionalism with grassroots authenticity

Community-to-Product Feedback Loops

  • Surface structured ecosystem insights to Product and Leadership

  • Identify recurring friction patterns across stakeholders

  • Translate ecosystem signals into strategic adjustments

Identity & Narrative Stewardship

  • Strengthen Rwazi’s identity within its network

  • Develop rituals, recognition systems, and shared milestones

  • Protect tone, positioning, and relational clarity

Strategic Expansion Support

  • Support VP of Community in scaling ecosystem footprint

  • Evaluate new market or segment entry from a network perspective

  • Identify ecosystem-driven growth opportunities

Role Impact

Strong performance results in:

  • Higher ecosystem cohesion

  • Increased stakeholder loyalty

  • Stronger cross-network referrals

  • Reduced churn across contributors and clients

  • Greater long-term defensibility

This role strengthens Rwazi’s human moat.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not delivery operations

  • Not reactive support

  • Not transactional messaging

  • Not community engagement for engagement’s sake

This role requires structured ecosystem thinking.

Qualifications and Profile

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • 6–10+ years in community, ecosystem, or network leadership roles

  • Experience managing multi-sided platforms (marketplace, SaaS, or distributed networks)

  • Strong relationship-building ability across different stakeholder types

  • Strategic thinking around network effects

  • Analytical comfort with retention, density, and ecosystem health metrics

  • Executive communication clarity

Candidates may come from marketplace ecosystems, enterprise SaaS community leadership, or multi-stakeholder platforms.

Cultural Fit

We value leaders who:

  • Think long-term about trust capital

  • Balance warmth with strategic discipline

  • Operate without ego but with authority

  • Care about ecosystem integrity

  • Prefer durable systems over reactive fixes

How Candidates Are Evaluated

Candidates are evaluated based on:

  • Their ability to design and scale ecosystem structures

  • Evidence of strengthening multi-sided networks

  • Clarity in handling stakeholder complexity

  • Structured thinking around community health metrics

  • Strategic maturity in managing trust across groups

Summary

The Senior Community Manager leads the design and strengthening of Rwazi’s ecosystem across users, mappers, enterprise clients, and partners.

This role ensures that Rwazi’s human network compounds in value — becoming a durable competitive advantage over time.
