Role Description
The Senior Project Manager position provides proactive consulting with the roles and responsibilities providing project management for both multi-disciplinary and complex projects and smaller single or minimal resource projects, along with staff training and mentoring and developing client and business relationships.
This position will also provide technical expertise in government regulatory compliance and ecological services (rangelands, wetlands, vegetation, etc.).
The position will be part of KC Harvey’s Ecological Services Group with independent goals in growing business, leading teams, and providing quality control and associated oversight of technical work completed by field teams and mid-level scientists. Work can and will include project management and support of projects and teams across the company’s, and sister companies, area of operations and business lines. The position will be remote in Pinedale, Wyoming. The position will be supervised by KC Harvey’s Principal Ecologist or Director of Ecological Services.
The position will include travel, both in-state and out-of-state, to project meetings, clients’ offices, and project locations. Overnight stays during the travel can be expected. A company vehicle will be provided, along with travel expenses for work trips (flights, hotels, per diem, etc.).
- Manage projects and project tasks, including deliverables, deadlines, schedules, budgets, clients, and project team.
- Lead project permitting and governmental regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and oversight for rangeland, wetland, and vegetation technical services.
- Lead and oversee natural resource studies, data analysis, and technical report preparation to meet regulatory and client requirements.
- Provide field oversight of field teams and complete site assessments where needed.
- Work with other project managers to provide natural resources permitting and technical assistance on their projects.
- Develop business relationships and proposals to bring in new projects and clients and maintain the long-term relationships KC Harvey has with their current clients.
- Author documents and provide guidance on deliverable development.
- Supervise and lead mentoring efforts for mid-level and junior staff.
