The Role

We are seeking a motivated and curious Junior Technical Underwriter to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position is open only to candidates located within the United States.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is interested in technology, cybersecurity, and risk management.


As a Junior Technical Underwriter, you will support the evaluation and pricing of risk across companies operating in the web3 and AI ecosystems. You will work closely with experienced underwriters, analysts, and technical specialists while developing expertise in crypto risk management and insurance underwriting.


This role offers a unique opportunity to build deep technical knowledge while gaining exposure to both the fast-moving startup environment and the traditional insurance industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on technologies related to cryptocurrency risks, including hardware, software, and smart contract design
  • Analyze emerging risks related to blockchain infrastructure, AI systems, and cybersecurity threats
  • Assist in evaluating risk exposures for enterprise clients such as custodians, exchanges, and mining operators
  • Support the underwriting process by gathering and interpreting technical and operational data
  • Contribute to underwriting reports and risk analysis used for policy pricing decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine underwriting methodologies and risk models
  • Support business development initiatives by contributing to client-facing materials and industry research
  • Stay informed on developments in cryptocurrency, AI infrastructure, cyber risk, and related technologies


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 0–2 years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required (technical or analytical fields preferred), such as:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Cybersecurity
  • Risk Management
  • Engineering or Data Analytics
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies including blockchain, AI, and cybersecurity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams in a remote environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
