Role Description
This role involves supporting the Consulting Team as we prepare for several upcoming retirements. We encourage team members interested in a long-term opportunity and continued growth within FAS to review the postings and consider applying.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutions utilizing interim staffing services, ensuring trust, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships.
- Take responsibility for assigned work by ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with project expectations and compliance requirements standards, and quality expectations.
- Maintain awareness of Title IV and financial aid compliance requirements to ensure tasks and functions are completed within all regulatory frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to expand interim staffing services into broader consulting or operational partnerships with existing clients.
- Ensure interim staff engagements include clear documentation and knowledge transfer to client teams, minimizing disruption at the end of assignments.

Qualifications
- Contributes to project excellence through quality work, organizing tasks, following project plans, and meeting deadlines.
- Expert knowledge of Title IV and regulatory requirements; advanced understanding of institutional compliance requirements.
- Champions automation and data analytics; partners with IT to enable secure, scalable platforms.
- Navigates through peak stress; assists with and executes strategies for effective change management to meet the goals of the client.
- Executes tasks and deliverables that meet client goals; maintains trust under pressure.
- Aligns operations with business growth strategy; provides executive insights on capacity, compliance, and cost trends.
Requirements
- Advising college/university leadership on matters related to administering student financial aid.
- Maintaining the office’s service orientation (from front line to back office) and high level of student satisfaction.
- Assisting counselors and other staff with the more complex financial aid issues.
- Identifying processes which could be streamlined or ensuring there are QC processes and cross checks for human errors.
- Negotiation/relationship building - strengthening relationships between financial aid and other campus offices.
- Working with the business office staff to ensure federal program accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Ensuring critical deadlines such as SAP monitoring or appeals, the timely Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4), reporting to external agencies such as NCAA or a state aid program administrator.
- Responding to reporting requests for financial aid data.
- Understanding of FISAP reporting and other federal requirements.
