Job Summary:
As a Program Manager, you are responsible for implementation and management of agency-level programs, ensuring proper staffing, processes, measurements, and controls are in place to remain in compliance with contractual requirements. You will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for analysis, management, and development of the assigned contract(s). You are also responsible for providing leadership, training, guidance, and development of assigned staff.
Key Deliverables and Responsibility:
- Monitor and manage program performance and rapidly address shortfalls and negative trends. Work with various department managers and team members to surface and address contributing factors to these declines.
- Manage the agency-level relationship through both scheduled agency-level meetings and intermittent concerns and changes.
- Manage Maritime programs and act as the primary point of contact for DLA, other agencies, and non-US government NSN contracts. Surface potential changes from each agency and escalates for lobbying intervention.
- Oversee new programs, ensuring processes and reports flow smoothly, staff and equipment are added at appropriate times and potential issues surface before they become problematic.
- Conduct customer analysis to review margin, growth, and loss within current customers.
- Track, manage, and oversee customer activities and internal projects in designated systems..
- Coordinates and facilitate implementation of new procedures, workstations, and automation opportunities.
- Oversees compliance and monitoring of FAT testing and other quality test procedures with the suppliers for NSN-based contracts.
- Facilitates team resolution of contract non-conformance issues. Works with the team to address non-conformances to resolution and notifies appropriate parties of any quality issues so and ensures appropriate action and resolution can be implemented.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Recruit staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring consistent application of employee guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct team and one-on-one meetings and foster personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising work; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to lead and manage staff from diverse work environments, assign projects and tasks for maximum productivity
Job Requirements
- Higher education preferred or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of supply chain experience and three (3) years’ managerial experience and with government contracts. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience.
- Experience with NSN based contracts, PID Data, Origin/Source Inspection processes and FAT testing preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and develop meaningful relationships and conduct business in a confident, articulate, and professional manner.
- Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple tasks at once with different requirements, adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation skills to ensure value for all parties involved.
- Adapts quickly to changing priorities and processes while maintaining productivity and positive attitude.
- Self-driven and proactive in nature with a strong sense of accountability that takes imitative to resolve challenges and complete tasks under strict deadlines.
- Forward thinking individual who uses critical thinking to envision new ideas and improves processes
- Patient and able to train, educate, and re-educate team members on operational processes.
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
