Remote Commercial Lending Assistant (Must live in the United States on EST Time Zone)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated full-time temporary Administrative Assistants to support our Commercial Banking and Portfolio Management team. This role plays a pivotal part in providing essential administrative and operational support related to commercial loan portfolios, including loan tracking, credit file preparation, client onboarding, and documentation management. The ideal candidate will have prior banking experience, preferably within commercial lending or loan administration, and will thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain portfolio tracking sheets for loans, financial reporting, and key deadlines.
  • Assist with preparing and organizing credit files for underwriting, annual reviews, renewals, and loan modifications.
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for commercial banking clients regarding basic requests, documentation needs, and follow-ups.
  • Assist with onboarding new Commercial Banking clients, ensuring all required documentation is collected and organized.
  • Track the status of annual reviews, loan modifications, renewals, and covenant compliance.
  • Maintain internal systems with accurate and up-to-date borrower, loan, and deal information.
  • Coordinate and compile borrower financial documentation, including tax returns, financial statements, rent rolls, and related materials.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding borrower documentation requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain organized digital credit files, ensuring documentation is complete, compliant, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with credit, underwriting, and loan operations teams regarding file status, documentation needs, and next steps.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking, preferably within commercial lending, loan administration, or credit/lending operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with loan processing and document management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.

Work Environment

The position offers a remote work environment with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Candidates must be located within the EST time zone. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for a permanent position based on performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
