Role Description
We are looking for a top performing, high functioning Digital Media Storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative workplace. This position will play a crucial role in growing Edify’s storytelling and media content through video creation, video editing, and coordinating with videographers/vendors internationally in order to engage donors and potential donors and help grow Edify’s overall brand awareness. This role also includes working closely with the Design and Social Media Manager to maintain consistency of Edify’s brand and provide content for social media purposes, as well as other digital and email marketing projects.
A successful candidate will have a good understanding of all aspects of digital marketing and be able to capitalize on and keep up to date with best practices and growing trends. The overall target for this position is to engage and connect with donors/potential donors through compelling media and storytelling efforts, sharing Edify’s mission, vision, and model clearly. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Media Storyteller will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Team and the Development Team to deliver necessary content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree. Preferably in Digital Media, Film/Video Production, or Communications.
- 3-5 Years of experience working in marketing, videography, digital media, or other related fields.
- Experienced communicator who can interact at the executive level.
- Experienced in visual media best practices and analytics.
- Proficient in Adobe programs.
Requirements
- Must be adaptable, creative, proactive, and strategic.
- Create and edit compelling visual and written media that connects and engages donors across multiple platforms.
- Manage all aspects of video production, including scripting, storyboarding, lighting, sound, motion graphics, and post-production to ensure high-quality, brand-aligned content.
- Oversee video content creation during international travel, managing logistics, cultural sensitivity, and consent/release forms.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Team to tailor video content for optimal performance across various channels, including website, social media, email, and presentations.
- Create visual media, including but not limited to: donor appeals, campaign launches and updates, social media content, mission updates from CEO and others, thank yous, impact stories from the field, and editing internal program call videos for external use.
- Maintain various email marketing efforts to engage donors and potential donors.
- Adapt video assets into high-impact written content to deepen audience engagement across multiple platforms.
- Utilize the Identity Manual and Language Identity Guide to maintain consistency and accuracy in how Edify describes its programs, impact, and mission.
- Assist VP in the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy that represents the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives that includes innovative ideas to share Edify’s stories to grow awareness, increase engagement, and optimize the user experience.
