Role Description
WSP is seeking a Lead Project Coordinator to join our Engineering Coordination Line Department. This individual can be based out of various locations in the US. This role will be remote for the most part with the potential need to visit the office for initial training.
As a Lead Coordinator, Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by coordinating information, workflows, and communication across multidisciplinary teams while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients.
- Work closely with project engineers, project managers, and leadership across disciplines to support project delivery from initiation through closeout.
- Provide high-level project coordination and administrative support to internal teams and external clients.
- Act as a liaison between WSP and clients, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.
- Coordinate, schedule, and attend internal and client meetings; document key decisions and action items and support follow-up to ensure completion.
- Support project execution planning to promote efficient, well-organized project delivery.
- Manage material tracking activities, including maintaining master material lists, responding to buyer inquiries, and expediting materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized project documentation, including submittals, deliverables, and client correspondence.
- Review non-technical aspects of project deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes through documentation review and file organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve coordination processes and collaborate with project teams to implement improvements.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project coordination tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats with project teams, management, and clients.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture and maintain accountability for the quality and timeliness of work.
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 3-5 years of project support/administrative experience
- Experience supporting a high volume of projects
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Strong attention to detail and a good communicator
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability and desire to mentor and help others
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field
- Previous work experience related to engineering, construction, and/or project coordination
- Experience with MS Office Software Suite, ProjectWise, Procore or other DMS
Requirements
- Expected Salary (Colorado only): $61,000 - $107,000
- WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
