Role Description
Conceive, define and execute user experiences across our web and mobile products based on research and a focus on usability, intuitive user behaviors and physical space optimizations of platform-interaction optimizations. Explore and find the right solution for users. Support our product vision and strategy, including evolving Extend’s core tooling platform. Work autonomously in a cross-functional, agile product group with product managers, engineers, and leadership to prioritize and build new features. Contribute to product strategy by defining problems in insightful ways, understanding business needs, and innovating within technical constraints. Develop expert knowledge of industry, competitive, comparative, complementary products. Ensure clear, defensible problem statements exist for design solutions. Build and perform moderated and unmoderated user research and apply insights to design decisions to achieve user and business goals delivery.
Telecommuting is permitted.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Architecture, or closely related field.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in product/UX design related experience.
- Must have experience with each of the following:
- Develop user-centered designs with computer-assisted design tools, such as AutoCAD and Figma.
- Create stakeholder presentations with Rhino 3D modeling and PowerPoint to clearly communicate complex design solutions.
- Develop micro-interactions and motion design elements using Adobe Creative Suite, incorporating principles of visual design and color theory.
- Apply architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) project management methodologies to orchestrate complex design initiatives from concept to execution using building information modeling (BIM) tools, including AutoCAD.
- Create accessible and reusable design patterns supporting and ensuring strict adherence to Universal Design principles and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance guidelines using Keynote.
- Conduct user research to support product design, prototyping and future construction through interviews, workshops, and surveys, using SurveyMonkey, Miro, and Google Suite for synthesis, planning, and stakeholder alignment.
