Role Description

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact technology and product development initiatives while bridging strategic planning with hands-on project execution. The Principal Project Manager Engineer will manage complex hardware and manufacturing projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive technology readiness, integration, and process improvement. You will help shape and communicate technology roadmaps, facilitate governance forums, and implement best practices that enhance efficiency and align with business objectives. This position requires a mix of technical expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional influence, empowering you to deliver critical outcomes across global teams. The environment is fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative, with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to cutting-edge hardware and AI solutions.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology, research, and manufacturing projects, including technology transfer into new product development.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated advanced technology and manufacturing process roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and progress reporting to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate technology review meetings, governance forums, and quarterly awards programs to support organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive technology insertion, identify efficiencies, and solve technical and operational challenges.
  • Mentor and guide project managers and cross-functional teams, fostering leadership and high performance.
  • Support process improvements and deployment of new project management tools and methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of professional experience.
  • 5–6 years of project management experience in hardware-focused environments, including AI, datacenter, or telecom applications.
  • Project management certification (PMP, CSM, MPM, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading multicultural teams and mentoring project managers.
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, plating, or high-speed cable/cable assembly production.
  • Strong understanding of Stage-Gate processes for technology development.
  • Experience managing external technical partnerships and driving technology integration into products and manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools, including roadmap and portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with detailed execution and problem-solving.

  • Competitive base salary: $161,200 – $185,000 (subject to location and experience).
