Job Description

• Sales Compensation Design and Strategy • Lead the annual review and design process for all sales incentive compensation plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, sales goals, competitive market data, and industry best practices. • Model, analyze, and forecast the financial impact of proposed compensation plan changes, presenting data-driven recommendations to executive leadership. • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and Legal teams to ensure plan feasibility, compliance, and effective rollout. • Compensation Administration and Operations • Oversee the end-to-end administration of sales compensation, including territory and quota management, data integrity, calculation, and conflict resolution. • Manage and optimize the sales compensation process to ensure accurate and efficient compensation calculations. • Evaluate and lead implementation of a robust, scalable compensation system. • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to sales compensation plans and processes. • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations. • Reporting and Analysis • Generate regular and ad-hoc compensation reports and dashboards to provide insights into plan performance, sales effectiveness, and cost of sales. • Conduct quarterly and annual audits of compensation data and calculations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Analyze sales attainment, plan effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for plan adjustments. • Leadership and Training • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on all sales compensation matters, including industry standards and emerging trends. • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations to educate the sales force and management on compensation plan details and changes. • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, or Sales Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and administering complex sales commission plans for a large sales organization, with significant experience in the high-tech industry.
  • Proven expertise with sales performance management (SPM) software (e.g., Xactly, CallidusCloud).
