Role Description
Interplay is looking for an Operating Partner to work within our Studio. Our Studio focuses on building companies from scratch. The right person for this role has built a company and sold it, is passionate about the 0-1 space, and is ready to be part of creating a handful of high-quality companies per year. As an operating partner in the studio, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our team to:
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including market research and competitive analysis, to assess business viability.
- Recruit and hire leadership teams, including CEOs, to drive new ventures forward.
- Provide strategic guidance and ongoing operational support to portfolio companies.
- Leverage Interplay’s ecosystem, including capital, services, and resources, to accelerate company growth.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build high-potential businesses.
- Drive the creation of scalable, venture-backable companies with the potential to become industry leaders.

- A swiss army knife who can handle a multitude of different responsibilities.

- You have experience managing timelines and are able to organize information into plans.
- You have a creative mindset and can generate innovative ideas for events and marketing campaigns, always staying ahead of industry trends.
- You are a proactive problem solver, capable of identifying potential issues and providing timely solutions.
- You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships.
- You are highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
- You are tech-savvy and comfortable working with various software and tools related to marketing, event planning, content creation, and data management.
- A person who gets things done, finds a way around walls, and pursues excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a founder, with a successful company exit.
- Deep passion for the 0-1 startup phase and company-building.
- Strong ability to identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
- Track record of hiring and mentoring executive leadership.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong network within the startup and investment ecosystem.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Have the ability to work well in an unstructured environment.
- VC experience is not necessary, but it's preferred.
