THE ROLE
The Senior Manager, High-Risk Event Security is responsible for leading security planning and risk mitigation for events designated as higher risk through the company’s established event risk assessment process. This role serves as a strategic partner to venue General Managers and venue-level Security Managers, translating identified risks into clearly documented, event-specific enhancements to the standard security plan.
Operating as part of the centralized security team, this position does not support all events, but instead engages selectively on designated high-risk events. The role focuses on assessing elevated risk factors, facilitating cross-functional planning, and ensuring incremental security measures are defined, documented, and operationally executable by venue teams and partners.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Risk-Based Event Engagement
Serve as the security lead for events designated as higher risk through the company’s event risk assessment framework.
Review and validate risk indicators across crowd dynamics, artist profile, venue configuration, environmental factors, and external threat considerations.
Ensure risks are clearly articulated, understood, and prioritized in collaboration with venue leadership.
Enhanced Security Planning & Documentation
Partner with General Managers and venue Security Managers to develop event-specific security plans that build upon the standard security baseline.
Define and document incremental security measures required to address elevated risks, including adjustments to staffing, deployment, access control, perimeter security, communications, emergency response, and contingencies.
Ensure enhanced plans are clearly documented, actionable, and aligned with company standards and expectations.
Field & Stakeholder Partnership
Work directly with venue leadership to support planning, alignment, and readiness for high-risk events.
Collaborate closely with the broader security organization to ensure consistency, escalation pathways, and organizational awareness.
Support coordination with internal partners (operations, guest services, production) and external stakeholders (law enforcement, emergency services, and security vendors) as appropriate for the event risk profile.
Readiness, Execution & Review
Support pre-event planning meetings, tabletop exercises, or briefings for designated high-risk events.
Act as a subject-matter expert and escalation resource during event execution, as needed.
Participate in post-event reviews to capture lessons learned, evaluate effectiveness of mitigation strategies, and inform future risk planning.
Program & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the ongoing refinement of event risk assessment tools, documentation standards, and planning processes.
Identify trends, recurring risk drivers, and opportunities to strengthen proactive security planning across venues.
Ensure consistent documentation and reporting for high-risk events to support visibility and accountability within the security organization.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BRING
8–10+ years of experience in security, public safety, or risk management, with direct experience supporting live events, venues, or large-scale public gatherings.
Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and developing event- or operation-specific security plans.
Strong working knowledge of crowd management, access control, emergency response, and incident command principles.
Experience partnering with venue leadership, field operations, and public safety agencies.
Background in law enforcement, military, emergency management, or private event security strongly preferred.
Key Attributes
Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence and guide without direct authority.
Structured, detail-oriented thinker capable of translating risk into practical operational plans.
Calm and decisive under pressure, with strong judgment in complex environments.
Clear communicator, comfortable working with senior leaders and field teams alike.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to guest and employee safety.
BENEFITS & PERKS
Our motto is ‘Taking Care of Our Own’ through 6 pillars of benefits:
HEALTH: Medical, vision, dental and mental health benefits for you and your family, with access to a health care concierge, and Flexible or Health Savings Accounts (FSA or HSA)
YOURSELF: Free concert tickets, generous paid time off including paid holidays, sick time, and personal days
