Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Deal Team Lead to serve as the primary bidder/buyer-facing leader for distressed real estate asset sales. In this key role, you will own the full lifecycle of deals—from initial client engagement and asset evaluation through marketing execution, buyer negotiations, and transaction closing. You will collaborate closely with attorneys, trustees, creditors, and internal teams to drive efficient, high-value dispositions in complex bankruptcy and insolvency environments.

This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to shape and grow a new service line within a well-established firm.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for clients (including bankruptcy attorneys, trustees, fiduciaries, and stakeholders) throughout the asset disposition process.
  2. Lead deal execution, including running the mechanics of each transaction from start to close.
  3. Manage all internal marketing milestones (e.g., asset due diligence, valuation coordination, marketing strategy development, listing preparation, and progress tracking).
  4. Critical input in assisting in meeting all external marketing deployment milestones (e.g., targeted outreach, broker networks, online platforms, advertising campaigns, property tours/virtual showings, and buyer qualification).
  5. Proactively seek and respond to prospective customers/buyers, qualifying leads and building relationships to drive competitive bidding and optimal sale outcomes.
  6. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely achievement of bankruptcy court milestones, compliance requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  7. Prepare and present deal updates, marketing reports, and closing packages to clients and internal leadership.
  8. Contribute to process improvements and best practices for distressed real estate dispositions in insolvency contexts.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate sales. A strong focus on distressed, bankruptcy, or insolvency-related asset dispositions (commercial or mixed-use) strongly favored.
  • Proven track record of managing full-cycle real estate transactions, including marketing, negotiations, and closings in high-pressure or time-sensitive environments. Providing a Closed Deal Book depicting your wins is strongly favored.
  • CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation strongly preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., CRE, SIOR) a plus.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations with legal/financial professionals.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple deals simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in real estate marketing tools, CRM systems, virtual tour platforms, and data analysis for asset valuation/marketing.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy processes (Chapter 7/11 preferred) and real estate legal considerations in distressed sales.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field preferred.
