Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience.
- Significant client-facing consulting or in-house legal operations leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and managing stakeholders at senior executive levels.
- Deep, practical experience in outside counsel management across the full lifecycle, including:
- Matter intake and governance
- Matter management systems
- Legal project management (LPM)
- Alternative fee arrangements
- Strategic sourcing and panel management
- E-billing implementation and invoice review processes
- Experience within corporate legal departments, legal operations, consulting, or law firm pricing/operations functions.
- Advanced data literacy with the ability to independently manipulate, analyze, and interpret large data sets.
- Experience translating financial and operational data into executive-level recommendations.
- Comfort with Excel and analytical tools; familiarity with e-billing or matter management platforms is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- JD or equivalent legal qualification preferred but not required.
- Executive Presence: Confident advising senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
- Strategic Operator: Able to zoom out to define vision while also diving into operational details and analysis.
- Builder Mindset: Passionate about developing frameworks, playbooks, and scalable advisory infrastructure.
- Collaborative Leader: Effective at mentoring junior team members and working cross-functionally.
- Data-Driven: Uses structured analysis to guide recommendations and decision-making.
