Role Description

Tharseo IT is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud Consultant Level 3) to support the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure environments. This role focuses on cloud architecture integration, infrastructure reliability, and operational performance across secure cloud environments. The engineer will lead technical efforts to deploy and enhance cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and enterprise policies. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, systems reliability, and secure enterprise architecture, and will serve as a senior technical authority supporting complex cloud initiatives. Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is strongly preferred. This position is primarily remote, with periodic travel and potential Boston-area onsite support at Hanscom AFB for secure network access.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise cloud infrastructure environments
• Integrate new architectural capabilities into existing cloud platforms
• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure reliability, performance, and availability
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering efforts supporting cloud platform architecture and operations
• Implement infrastructure improvements, updates, and modernization initiatives
• Support monitoring, logging, and system health analysis
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and system issues
• Apply cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices to cloud architecture
• Contribute to system engineering activities across the design, integration, and operational lifecycle
• Compile industry best practices and lessons learned to improve future cloud architecture designs
• Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders across the enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8–12+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, or enterprise systems engineering
• Strong Linux systems administration background
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions
• DoD IAT Level II certification
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to access secure environments requiring CAC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience supporting enterprise or federal cloud environments
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks
• Experience operating within secure or classified network environments

Work Environment

• Remote within the United States
• Periodic travel to customer locations
• Potential onsite support in the Boston, MA area
