Role Description

Lead and own an entire pre-litigation function at a growing personal injury law firm.

  • Work fully remote while handling meaningful plaintiff-side personal injury matters across California.
  • Manage a team and help shape processes, performance, and client experience.

Manage the firm's full pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement.

  • Serve as the lead and only attorney overseeing all pre-litigation files.
  • Develop case strategy and individualized case plans designed to maximize settlement value.
  • Handle all legal aspects of pre-litigation matters with confidence, ownership, and sound judgment.
  • Negotiate claims directly with insurance adjusters and other parties.
  • Prepare and oversee Minor Compromise Petitions as needed.
  • Supervise and support the work of Case Managers, Case Manager Assistants, and the Pre-Litigation Manager.
  • Ensure files are moving efficiently, deadlines are met, and client communication remains strong throughout the process.
  • Help maintain quality control, documentation standards, and operational consistency across the pre-litigation team.
  • Work closely with clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders to move cases toward strong outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license and good standing required.
  • 5+ years of plaintiff-side or personal injury experience required.
  • Strong pre-litigation experience required.
  • Experience creating case strategy and case plans for personal injury files.
  • Strong settlement negotiation skills.
  • Experience handling Minor Compromise Petitions.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
  • Strong written, verbal, and client communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
