Role Description
Cotulla Education is seeking a talented and proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our hiring efforts across a variety of roles. In this part-time role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, engaging, and securing top talent through every stage of the recruitment process—from building deep talent pools and engaging passive candidates to managing offers and closing candidates.
This role will work closely with Talent Acquisition leadership to support the organization’s growth and strategic goals while navigating an environment of continuous transformation. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and can flex with evolving priorities and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, fit, and alignment with the Institute's values and requirements. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Job Posting and Advertising: Create and post job advertisements on relevant platforms to attract qualified applicants. Ensure job descriptions are accurate, compelling, and aligned with the Institute’s branding.
- Candidate Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring an excellent candidate experience and maintaining clear, consistent communication.
- Collaboration: Work closely with talent acquisition and on-campus leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends and candidate feedback.
- Process Improvement: Engage in improvement projects and initiatives to contribute to the attainment of department and corporate objectives.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in Greenhouse ATS. Generate reports and analyze data to track recruitment metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process by coordinating with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and Institute policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
- Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Greenhouse applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, candidate sourcing techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing an excellent candidate experience.
- Experience in the aviation industry or technical education sector is a plus.
