Role Description
We're looking for an Event Marketing Manager to own Make's presence at the industry events that matter most. From high-profile tech conferences like Web Summit to partner activations, executive roundtables, and VIP experiences, you'll ensure Make shows up with purpose - driving brand awareness, generating pipeline, and deepening relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
You'll be hands-on - managing logistics, designing activations, and leading the team on the ground - but the role goes beyond execution. You'll also manage our event portfolio in close partnership with GTM and Sales, ensuring every investment lands with real impact. You'll own the plan and the details, and you'll ensure our presence at external events draws attention and becomes a signature of Makeβs brand.
- Own Make's external event presence.
- Lead strategy and execution across industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events.
- Drive measurable impact by setting goals, tracking pipeline influence, brand lift, and engagement metrics.
- Build and manage partnerships with tech partners, sponsors, and event organizers.
- Create standout VIP and hospitality experiences for key customers, prospects, and partners.
- Collaborate across the business with Sales, Partnerships, Product Marketing, and the broader Brand team.
- Participate in Waves, Make's flagship annual conference, owning specific components.
- Manage logistics and budget, ensuring flawless execution of each event.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in event marketing within the B2B tech or SaaS space.
- On-the-ground leader who can ensure the team delivers an impeccable guest experience.
- Clear understanding of how events connect to pipeline and experience working with Sales and GTM teams.
- Comfortable building strategy and managing details; experience coordinating complex activations.
- Strong eye for brand experience, comfortable working closely with design and internal teams.
- Happy to travel; this role involves attending events worldwide.
- Self-starter mentality and can-do attitude; thrives in experimenting across new formats.
- Familiarity with the broader tech/AI events landscape.
