Summary

The Consumer Bank Sales Compliance and Risk Monitoring Manager is responsible for all tasks and challenges encountered in the operation of their assigned position.   This individual is responsible for the overall organization of compliance initiatives for the Consumer Bank Sales team to include internal control processes for compliance. The incumbent serves as the Consumer Bank liaison for audit, risk, & compliance, and is responsible for developing processes to ensure compliance with the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Consumer Bank sales, credit cards, and consumer bank lending business risk leader

  • Ensure the business units above are in compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management framework requirements

  • Assist the business unit leaders in discharging the first line of defense governance responsibilities

  • Act as the Business Unit Liaison with the second and third lines of defense

  • Maintain the risk assessments for the business units above

  • Identity and assess the regulatory risks within the business units and implement a process for reporting them to the business unit leaders

  • Assist the business unit leaders with Archer issues follow-up/applicable tasks through to resolution

  • Conduct and oversee the first line control monitoring reviews for the business units above on a scheduled program as required

  • Serve as the primary leader in ensuring the business units above provide the applicable required information for internal and external compliance monitoring/risk/regulatory audits/reviews in a timely manner as well as maintain satisfactory c ompliance monitoring and audit reviews on an ongoing basis

  • Maintain an ongoing and significant partnership with Compliance, Legal, and FIU Departments

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 15+ years applicable experience 

Minimum Experience

  • 15 plus years in banking/banking support

  • Demonstrated project management and implementation skills, translating business goals into technical requirements and technical capabilities into business strategy.

  • ERM compliance, risk, and audit background

  • Experience managing customer complaint platform

  • Strong bank regulatory & compliance knowledge

  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills and ability to translate data into action

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills

  • In depth knowledge of banking risks, regulatory, and audit standards

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • ACAMS Certification

  • Office: This position reports to a physical Company location, and the setting will be a typical office environment.

  • Remote or hybrid: For remote or hybrid positions, a secure and distraction-free setting is required, with a reliable internet connection (cable or fiber preferred, mobile hotspots not acceptable).  Hybrid positions will report to a physical Company location, as directed by the manager, and that setting will be a typical office environment.
