  • Monitor, classify, synthesize, and summarize key competitor activities including news, financial reporting, and marketing channels (direct mail, digital, social, etc.).
  • Track broader macroeconomic, fintech, financial services, personal finance, and technology trends through primary and secondary resources, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate findings into insights.

  • Support vendor and data subscriptions by helping ensure tools are used effectively and insights are shared broadly.

You’ll like this role if

  • You are persistent, practical, and focused on producing work that drives action.
  • You are comfortable working with data, tools, and research outputs, and you are willing to dig into details to uncover insights.
  • You balance analytical rigor with curiosity and are eager to learn from more experienced insights practitioners.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to shared thinking and problem-solving.
  • You value structure and process and are motivated by improving how work gets done over time.
  • You understand the value that understanding competitors and market activity helps drive decision intelligence.

Skills & qualifications you should bring to the table:

  • Reporting mastery: ability to translate findings into insights and create visually appealing reports with compelling content that tie to organizational KPIs and objectives.
  • Comfort with large data sets: creating, cleaning, and prepping for analysis, and the ability to conduct standard quantitative analyses using appropriate tools.
  • Presentation skills and storytelling focused on communicating thoughts to various audiences, which include senior-level leaders down to individual contributors.
  • Some experience with primary quantitative and qualitative research methodology preferred; familiarity with basic survey writing and sampling principles.
