Role Description

The Ministry Trips Manager will be responsible for the implementation and management of systems and processes, development of resources, and execution of policies and guidelines in relation to FCA's Go Trips. This role will ensure that all Go Trips are carried out safely and in alignment with FCA's mission and vision. This position will work alongside other departments (ex: Finance, Technology, Human Resources), field staff and ISPs/ISAs to ensure all trips are aligned with FCA's mission and vision, carried out safely, and executed properly.

Ministerial Duties

  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Global Field Office, EVP of International Administration and EVP of International Advancement to review, update or add guidelines and policies of FCA's Go Trips to ensure trips align with FCA's mission and vision.
  • Manage the Trip Registration process in the VIP system.
  • Lead the review, development and implementation of Go Trip policies and guidelines with RDIAs, FCA staff and trip leaders.
  • Manage, train and troubleshoot utilization of Go Method, a third-party trip management software.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of trips through data and feedback to continuously improve current systems, processes and protocols.

Training and Preparation

  • Collaborate with RDIAs to ensure trip leaders are trained and equipped with cultural training, safety guidelines, and risk management protocols.
  • Provide training, tools and resources to trip leaders (and members, if needed).

Safety and Risk Management

  • Stay updated on geopolitical, health and safety risks in countries where trips are or will take place (and help trip leaders adjust plans accordingly if necessary).
  • Collaborate with the EVP of International Administration to implement crisis management plans and risk management protocols for potential emergencies during a trip.

  • Proficient Calling to serve in the ministry of FCA.

  • Must have the desire to serve FCA field staff, ISPs/ISAs, and constituents. Provide quality, timely, thorough support when questions arise.

  • Can create plans and lead a team of people to accomplish ministry goals.
  • Can effectively lead all aspects of the lifecycle of a project.
  • Proficient with technology and software for planning and communication (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Teams, Canva, WhatsApp, etc.).
