  • Independently develop and review complex electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations.
  • Oversee preparation and quality review of electrical design drawings, including one-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, AC/DC schematics, AC/DC cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Lead power system modeling and relay coordination studies using ASPEN, ETAP, SKM, or equivalent tools, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and review protection and control design basis documentation, perform advanced relay setting calculations, and generate configuration files using SEL AcSELerator, GE EnerVista, or equivalent vendor tools.
  • Oversee development of SCADA system configurations and communication interface settings for substation equipment, including IEC 61850-based systems.
  • Serve as technical authority during field activities, commissioning, energization, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and improve protection scheme templates, standards, and workflows to increase efficiency and technical consistency across portfolios.
  • Provide technical guidance on unconventional or complex engineering challenges and adapt standard approaches where necessary.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Represent the protection and controls discipline in project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support technical client interactions across multiple projects and portfolios.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, and power systems engineers to ensure integrated design delivery.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to manage risks, address scope changes, and resolve technical issues proactively.
  • Demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills in technical documentation and presentations.

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Assign tasks to and direct discipline team members to complete assignments.
  • Provide mentorship and technical development to other staff members.
  • Review work for technical accuracy and professional soundness.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and knowledge sharing aligned with Revamp’s core values of Impact, Collaboration, Trust, and Equity.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in power delivery, transmission, or substation engineering, with significant experience in protection and controls design.
  • Demonstrated experience leading protection and controls scopes on complex substation or renewable energy projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, including layers, attributes, dynamic blocks, and drawing standards oversight.
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering and modeling software tools such as ETAP, ASPEN OneLiner, SKM Power*Tools, SEL AcSELerator, GE EnerVista, and related relay and SCADA configuration platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of IEC 61850 communication protocols and substation automation systems.
  • Deep understanding of high-voltage protection principles, relay coordination, and system modeling methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate engineering assignments.
  • Experience preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules for discipline-specific work.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with sound engineering judgment.
