We currently partner with over 60 school districts, including Kaiser Permanente, reaching more than one million students across the U.S. Our clinicians benefit from a stable caseload and consistent referrals.
We are seeking licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy services to students ages 11-24 throughout California. As a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you will deliver high-quality care while collaborating with schools, caregivers, and community partners to ensure student success.
Key Benefits
- Competitive Compensation:
- W-2: $55,000–$115,000 annual (bi-weekly standardized payment)
- 1099: $70–$85 per session (plus no-show & late-cancel pay)
- Flexible Schedule: Set your hours Monday–Friday (3-8 PM) with optional weekends (9am-5pm)
- Caseload Commitment: We ask you to commit to a caseload of 25 sessions per week, with a target minimum of 17 completed sessions per week (averaged over the course of the month) to maintain your base salary and full benefits package.
- Full Benefits (W-2): Medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, CEUs, supervisor support
- Daybreak covers around 90% of medical premiums, and 100% of dental and vision premiums for W2 employees
- Daybreak covers around 65% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for all eligible dependents
- Choose between two comprehensive health plans: Kaiser and Anthem (Blue Cross Blue Shield)
- Contract Perks (1099): Low weekly caseload minimum (5 sessions), bilingual pay, cross-license bonuses in states we are active in
- Administrative support: We handle billing, credentialing, and scheduling so you can focus on care

Qualifications
- Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT credentials in the State of California
- Experience working with youth and families in clinical or school settings
- Strong telehealth skills and reliable high-speed Internet connection
- Commitment to culturally responsive care and equity
- Availability for at least 5 hours weekly during peak hours (3-8 PM M-F) for 1099 contractors
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to students ages 11–24 with mild-to-moderate mental health conditions
- Build trusted relationships with students and families
- Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers
Minimum caseload: Varies by employment type. W-2 full-time requires at least 25 time slots with a minimum of 17 completed sessions per week. 1099 contractors have a minimum of 5 sessions per week.
