Role Description
This is a senior leadership role within CFC US, with full ownership of the US Corporate Professions portfolio. As Head of US Corporate Professions, you will have P&L responsibility and strategic oversight for underwriting performance across the portfolio. You’ll lead and develop high-performing underwriting teams, shape underwriting and pricing strategy, and drive profitable growth while maintaining strong relationships with brokers and capacity providers.
Working closely with the US CEO, Deputy CUO and global underwriting leadership, you’ll play a key role in strengthening CFC’s market position and continuing to scale one of our most important lines of business. Amongst other items, you'll be:
- Owning the P&L and underwriting strategy for the US Corporate Professions portfolio
- Driving sustainable growth and profitability through disciplined underwriting, pricing and portfolio management
- Leading, developing and inspiring underwriting teams, embedding CFC’s culture and values
- Monitoring performance against budgets, KPIs and service metrics, and addressing underperformance quickly
- Strengthening and expanding broker and capacity provider relationships, including participation in senior-level reviews
- Supporting binder renewals and ensuring compliance with underwriting authority and regulatory requirements
- Partnering with global leaders to evolve existing products and identify opportunities for new propositions
- Acting as a senior referral point for underwriting, coverage and policy decisions
- Building CFC’s external profile as a thought leader in Corporate Professions insurance
Qualifications
- Significant underwriting experience within Corporate Professions
- Proven track record of leading underwriting teams and delivering profitable portfolio growth
- Strong commercial judgement with experience owning or influencing P&L performance
- Confident engaging with brokers, capacity providers and senior stakeholders
- Strategic thinker who combines data-driven decision-making with practical execution
- Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
