The IT Program Manager is responsible for driving IT initiatives from planning through successful completion across a portfolio of enhancement, merger & acquisition (M&A), and security-related projects. This role partners closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure work is well planned, clearly tracked, and delivered with minimal disruption to operations.

This position blends hands-on execution with strong coordination, structured follow-through, and portfolio-level visibility. The IT Program Manager facilitates collaboration across the organization and drives decisions through a collective of input from both technical and business stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Project Delivery & Execution

·       Run daily working sessions for projects in flight to maintain momentum and alignment

·       Drive IT projects from planning through completion across enhancement, M&A, and security initiatives

·       Facilitate collaboration, planning, and refinement of project tasks

·       Drive decisions through structured input from cross-functional stakeholders

·       Actively follow up on tasks to ensure progress and timely delivery

Project Tracking & Governance

·       Own and maintain the IT project management platform (JIRA)

·       Date, assign, and manage new and open tasks

·       Review upcoming and past-due work queues during daily standups

·       Ensure project data remains accurate, current, and visible

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

·       Keep business owners informed, engaged, and accountable throughout project milestones

·       Draft and distribute staff communication emails related to project updates and changes

·       Conduct outreach beyond the IT team to coordinate timelines and dependencies

·       Serve as a consistent point of contact between IT and business stakeholders

Documentation & Portfolio Management

·       Create and maintain clear project documentation

·       Use collaborative tools to map workflows, document ideas, and support planning discussions

·       Ensure decisions, actions, and dependencies are properly documented

·       Maintain portfolio-level roadmaps to support reporting outside of IT

·       Provide visibility into project status, priorities, and upcoming work for leadership

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

 

·       3 + years of experience managing IT or technology-related projects

·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

·       Demonstrated experience driving projects from planning through execution with clear task ownership and follow-through

·       Experience using a project management platform (e.g., JIRA or similar) to manage backlogs, assignments, and timelines

·       Ability to facilitate meetings, working sessions, and cross-functional discussions

·       Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives

·       Clear written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder updates and project documentation

·       Ability to gather input from multiple stakeholders and drive aligned decisions

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

 

·       Experience supporting merger & acquisition integrations or system migrations

·       Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated IT environments

·       Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated industry

·       Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies

·       Experience maintaining portfolio-level reporting or roadmap views for leadership

BioMatrix Pay Range/Rate
$90,000$120,000 USD
