Job Description

• Review contractor and subcontractor Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) for accuracy and compliance with California prevailing wage laws. • Verify proper classification of workers, wage rates, overtime calculations, and fringe benefit reporting. • Confirm compliance with DIR Public Works requirements and applicable wage determinations. • Identify and flag labor compliance violations, such as underpayment, misclassification, or incomplete payroll submissions. • Communicate discrepancies and required corrections to contractors and project management teams. • Track payroll submissions and maintain organized compliance records. • Ensure adherence to apprenticeship utilization and reporting requirements when applicable. • Support audits or documentation requests related to labor compliance.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • 4+ years of experience in California public works labor compliance or certified payroll review.
  • Strong knowledge of California prevailing wage laws and DIR reporting requirements.
  • Experience reviewing Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) and Statement of Compliance forms.
  • Familiarity with transportation or infrastructure public works projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify wage or reporting discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with LCPtracker, Elation Systems, or similar labor compliance software.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors and subcontractors regarding payroll corrections.
