Role Description
The Field Service Engineer I is responsible for supporting the needs of our customers, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being. This position reports to the New England Regional Field Service Manager and is part of the Service Organization, and works remotely to cover Rochester, NY.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments.
- Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
- Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with 1+ years of technical experience OR Bachelor of Science in a related field OR equivalent military experience (applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
Requirements
- Ability to travel – up to 90%, including frequent overnights.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb.
