Role Description
Baystate Health is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our experienced Access Service Team to support the prescription line.
- Help ensure patients receive timely access to care while delivering a high level of service to both patients and referring providers.
- Respond to online inquiries and incoming calls.
- Work closely with physicians, care teams, and medical practices across the Baystate Health system.
- Serve as a key partner in coordinating patient care.
- Blend clinical knowledge, administrative expertise, and exceptional customer service to create a seamless and positive healthcare experience.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association.
- 3+ years of experience working in a medical office.
- Prior experience in a physician’s office or customer service environment.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training demonstrating MA III competencies.
- Typing speed of 25+ words per minute.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly.
Requirements
- Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Additional weekend hours available.
- Remote opportunity; candidate must live in MA or CT.
