Role Description

Baystate Health is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our experienced Access Service Team to support the prescription line.

  • Help ensure patients receive timely access to care while delivering a high level of service to both patients and referring providers.
  • Respond to online inquiries and incoming calls.
  • Work closely with physicians, care teams, and medical practices across the Baystate Health system.
  • Serve as a key partner in coordinating patient care.
  • Blend clinical knowledge, administrative expertise, and exceptional customer service to create a seamless and positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a medical office.
  • Prior experience in a physician’s office or customer service environment.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training demonstrating MA III competencies.
  • Typing speed of 25+ words per minute.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly.

Requirements

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Additional weekend hours available.
  • Remote opportunity; candidate must live in MA or CT.
