Job Description

• Work directly with the Sales Consultants (SCs) in the field and virtually by assisting on sales calls while providing constructive feedback. • Provide leadership, strategic planning, and monitors all sales activities to ensure the district organization achieves maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and goals. • Work with all operating divisions that support the sales organization to create and ensure a collaborative work environment. • Recruit, select, train, assign territories, schedule individual time, coach, counsel, and implement corrective action (if necessary) for employees in assigned territories. • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for district and territories. • Ensure that plans are followed by SCs to ensure all goals are met. • Other duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience successfully growing profitable sales in the B2B market segment preferred.
  • 2-3 years field and/or virtual sales experience.
  • Experience with managing a remote sales team preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong leadership skills: the ability to coach, counsel, develop and direct individuals and teams.
  • Capable of collaborating with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
  • A mastery of organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts (including pricing and forecasting).
  • Computer literacy that includes maintaining a customer database, Internet navigation and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) as well as a willingness to become proficient using prescribed sales technology and software (i.e. Phocas, GForce, Salesforce.com and PeopleSoft).
