About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Scientific Publications on the Scientific Communications & Publications team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Scientific Publications, you’ll contribute to the global publication strategy as a member of the cross-function publication planning team and support the development, implementation, and execution of Global Publication Plans. This includes management and tracking of publications, ensuring the publication management platform is up to date and audit ready, providing direction to publication agencies, among other publication-related administrative activities. You will support strategic planning by conducting literature searches, recommending congresses and journals to the publication lead and authors, and leading the encore plan to extend the reach of publications and work closely with the cross-functional data generation team (Medical Affairs, HEOR, Biometrics, Clinical Development) and engage with medical experts and authors. You will promote good publication practices and ensure compliance with publication-related policies and procedures.What You'll Do:
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Have a firm scientific understanding of the therapeutic area and clinical/HEOR study design, statistics and ability to apply disease-area and product expertise in cross-functional projects/teams.
Review and contribute to presentations for cross-functional audiences.
Contribute to the execution of publication plans to ensure delivery of accurate and appropriate publications on time, within budget, and adhering to policy
Manage complex timelines for multiple concurrent publication projects including the identification of potential timeline risks, issues, and deviations from plans
Maintain publication audit trail records and project status reports. Provide oversight of agency maintenance of documents in the central publication management system ensuring database completeness, accuracy, and integrity
Ensure the publication development process and all materials produced are in compliance with Insmed policy and guidelines including ICMJE, PhRMA, and GPP. This includes staying up to date with trends and standards in the field.
Leverage best practices and implement efficient processes to optimize publication efforts across medical affairs
Who You Are:
You have a Master’s degree in a scientific discipline along with 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or medical communications agency, primarily in Medical Affairs.
You are or you also have:
Publications project management experience
Expert knowledge of relevant guidance including, but not limited to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) guidelines, CME Open Payments reporting, Good Publication Practice (GPP4)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and effectively communicate complex scientific and clinical data to internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within collaborative and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage external vendors and provide clear, concise direction
Must successfully exhibit Insmed’s five (5) core corporate competencies of: Collaboration, Accountability, Passion, Respect and Authority; along with any other position specific competencies
Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace
Nice to have (but not required):
Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) credentialed highly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and document management systems (e.g. Datavision, SharePoint, Veeva Vault, SmartSheets etc.)
Medical writing experience

This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected.
