Join our dynamic Office of Information Technology (OIT) M365/Cloud Services Team and help deliver enterprise-level support for Microsoft 365 and related cloud technologies across all State of Alaska’s Executive Branch Departments. As a flexibly staffed position, you can come in and at the first level and flex promote to the next level with opportunities to grow your skills and become a subject matter expert by:
- Monitor & Maintain: Assess IT system health daily to ensure smooth operations for colleagues and departments statewide.
- Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Provide top-tier support for challenging problems, from cloud integrations to hard-to-diagnose end-user issues.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Tier 2 technicians to strengthen organizational resiliency and improve troubleshooting processes.
- Optimize & Innovate: Research, plan, and implement new features; fine-tune configurations to boost efficiency and security.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously learn and adapt to evolving technologies in the Microsoft 365 and cloud ecosystem.
- Secure Integrations: Review and document permissions for applications integrating with Office 365/Entra ID to maintain compliance and security.
- Build Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of enterprise cloud services and serve as a trusted resource for colleagues.
- Contribute to Strategy: Share insights and collaborate on workflow improvements and enterprise service enhancements.

- Enterprise Architecture: Knowledge of principles, concepts, and methods of enterprise architecture to align information technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization.
- Technical Documentation: Knowledge of procedures for developing technical and operational support documentation.
- Identity Management: Knowledge of methods and controls to validate the identity of individuals to verify access approval and level, and monitor activity to ensure that only authorized access is taking place.
