Location: 100% remote, Hawaii-based candidates preferred
Duration: 3-6 month contract, must work Hawaii Standard business hours
Overview
At TEKsystems we are supporting a leading financial organization embarking on a major Treasury, Accounting, and Finance system modernization initiative. We’re seeking a Senior Solution Architect to drive the future‑state architecture, cloud design, and integration strategy for a large-scale system replacement effort. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with business leaders, engineering teams, and an external platform provider.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design Leadership
- Own the target-state architecture for the new financial/treasury platform.
- Develop architectural diagrams, data flows, integration models, and infrastructure specifications.
- Assess legacy and SAS-based systems, identifying modernization paths, gaps, and dependencies.
- Define cloud architecture aligned to enterprise standards.
Data Integration & Migration
- Architect data flows between the new platform and upstream/downstream systems.
- Define integration patterns (API, ETL, batch, streaming) and validate feasibility with engineering teams.
- Provide guidance on data mapping, governance, quality, and transformation strategy.
Security, Compliance & Infrastructure
- Ensure architecture meets strict security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams on authentication, encryption, and secure configuration.
- Drive standards around performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience.
Collaboration & Advisory
- Serve as the primary architectural advisor to business, delivery, data, and vendor teams.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and executive audiences.
- Work closely with the implementation partner to ensure architectural alignment throughout the build.
Required Experience
- 7+ years as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Architect.
- Deep experience leading data‑intensive system migrations, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
- Strong background in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Proven experience integrating SaaS platforms into complex enterprise environments.
- Expertise with system replacement initiatives, APIs, integration design, and data transformation.
- Ability to design secure, scalable architectures for finance or accounting applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAS or SAS‑to‑cloud modernizations.
- Familiarity with Empyrean or similar financial/treasury solutions.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, liquidity management, or accounting data models.
- Candidates with Hawaii ties or interest in contract‑to‑hire strongly encouraged.
This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85.00 - $95.00/hr.
