Job Description
Join Our Team as a Probate Researcher
- Conduct genealogical research using online databases and archival records
- Build intestate family trees using our proprietary software
- Initiate and manage your own probate cases
- Communicate with clients and heirs via phone and mail
- Order and manage legal documents (birth, marriage, and death certificates)
- Collaborate with international partners and researchers on case strategies
- Manage case files and provide customer support
- Occasionally perform on-site research in the NYC area
- Experience in research, skip tracing, genealogy, or sales
- Associate's degree (or equivalent experience/training)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to read and interpret legal and genealogical documents
- Strong digital literacy and comfort working with databases
- Self-motivation, independence, and ability to meet deadlines
- Passion for genealogy and investigative work
- Comprehensive onboarding and training—you'll manage your own cases within your first year
- Starting salary: $50,000, with a raise after one year
- Annual bonus
