Role Description
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a highly skilled Team Lead for our newly formed AI-Native Engineering team within IT. This team drives strategic AI native tooling adoption, engineering modernization, and enterprise-wide enablement efforts that are highly visible across WWT — including regular interaction with C-level executives.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the IT Software Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE), this role will lead a high-performing team made up of Analysts and Developers, fostering a culture of innovation, rapid experimentation, and AI proficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience leading IT development teams.
- Strong familiarity with AI-related initiatives, modern engineering teams, or emerging technology adoption programs.
- Comfort working with emerging technology and ambiguity.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Passion for technology with the willingness to promote change.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to partner closely with Developers and Analysts, understanding enough technical detail to effectively coordinate work and remove roadblocks.
- Experience organizing surveys, feedback loops, and metrics-driven reporting.
- High organizational discipline: documentation, status reporting, scheduling, and cross-team synchronization.
- Strong relationship-building skills across IT, business partners, and leadership layers.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to operate within a Center of Excellence model.
Requirements
- Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $114,000 to $142,500 annually.
- Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs.
- The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
- Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.
