The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services:

RTX has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Cloud Systems Lead (Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation) role.

  • Play a critical role in the management, coordination, and optimization of our cloud systems and projects.
  • This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills to ensure the seamless execution of cloud-related initiatives while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate within a small team to support cloud projects, migrations, and system operations.

  • Plan and coordinate cloud system deployments, updates, and maintenance to ensure alignment with business goals and minimal disruptions.

  • Assist management with Clara, ATO, GTA, and vulnerability management to maintain compliance and system security.

  • Develop and manage documentation, workflows, and cost reporting for cloud systems and projects to ensure accuracy and transparency.

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cloud security standards, and compliance frameworks.

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, promoting effective communication and alignment of cloud strategies.

  • Operate effectively in a geographically distributed team, managing multiple initiatives and priorities independently.

  • Support 24x7 operational systems, including occasional work beyond standard hours as needed.

  • Travel typically twice a year for planning and team meetings.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the cloud platforms arena and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their associated tools and services.

  • Experience in coordinating cloud systems and projects, with a focus on deployment, updates, and maintenance.
     

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with cloud security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to travel twice a year.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
