Position Overview
The Sales Director - USA is responsible for driving profitable growth of Discover Battery’s Lead and Lithium battery portfolio across the United States. This is a business development role, focused on obtaining new clients. This Sales Director will also support growing and strengthening key national, strategic, and OEM accounts.


The ideal candidate combines business development drive, technical curiosity, and relationship leadership, with experience selling energy storage solutions into OEMs, national accounts, and channel partners. Success is measured through revenue growth, margin performance, and long-term strategic partnerships. Frequent travel will be required for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Top Line Revenue Growth. Drive revenue and margin growth for Lead and Lithium batteries in the US market
  • Account Management. Build, listen and maintain strong relationships and grow business with existing national and strategic clients, while continually prospecting and selling to new potential clients in all target markets.  
  • Profitability. Achieve established profit targets through revenue growth, expense control, and margin management.
  • Reporting. Complete accurate and on-time reporting of key performance metrics as established for sales and prospecting activity, through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas and participation and leadership of Discover’s CRM software.  
  • Communicate. Liaise with corporate leadership and team on best practices, customer wins, new opportunities, and competitive developments.
  • Planning. Collaborate with the executive team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans. Create product segmentation strategies as needed to maximize opportunities across sales channels. Conduct sales forecasts and monthly status reports.
  • Presentations. Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products and services. 
  • Training. Conduct sales training and provide ongoing sales support as required.



Qualifications

  • University or college degree in relevant field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of proven B2B sales experience in batteries, energy storage, or electrical/industrial products.
  • Knowledge of Lead-acid and Lithium battery technologies.
  • Track record of new business development (“hunter” profile).
  • Experience selling to OEMs, national accounts, and distribution partners.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.
