Job Description
Overview:
The Director, Product Management (Autopilot Services) will be responsible for guiding and growing the Autopilot business, including developing our managed services offerings, creating and improving processes and automations, and cultivating and growing individual team members.
In this role you’ll wear two hats: it’s a combination of a managed services manager and a product manager. On the managed services side, you will be responsible for growing a successful and knowledgeable team of licensing specialists, standardizing and optimizing processes, providing guidance to the team on tough decisions, and resolving customer escalations. On the product management side, this position will be responsible for developing a strategy for the managed services offering, aligned with our overall company and product strategy, including improvements to pricing, offering bundles, target customers, and partnerships.
It’s essential that we bring on the right leader who is passionate about cultivating a high-performing team and leading the next generation of Autopilot offerings. The ideal candidate takes on new challenges with enthusiasm, and has deep experience in stakeholder management, in addition to being data-driven, passionate about driving towards efficiency, and a seasoned product manager with a strategic focus. Knowledge about the insurance compliance industry is a plus, but not required.
The Autopilot Director, Product Management will work closely with leaders across the business, including Customer Success, Sales & GTM, Product Management, Analytics, and RevOps to deliver insights across the business, ensure our customers are successful, and strategize to deliver long-term success for our managed services offerings.
What you'll do:
- Cultivate a high-performing team by developing individual team members and setting clear expectations and definitions of success for the team
- Evaluate, develop, and make recommendations for all of our managed services offerings - including pricing, bundling, and delivery
- Manage the PnL for Autopilot services.
- Deliver a thoughtful, long-term roadmap for managed services, aligned with the corporate strategy, to optimize the success of our business overall.
- Definition, execution and reporting on the team OKRs.
- Create and improve team operations, including processes to optimize collaboration across teams, and documentation
- Investigate, define, and implement automations to drive efficiency and accuracy; own the metrics for the team to get you there; be obsessed with measurement and continuous improvement for both the business and the customer value delivered
- Collaborate closely with the product team to share feedback on pain points and bottlenecks, and to provide guidance on future features and enhancements
- Collaborate closely with the customer success team to ensure value for our shared customers, including handling customer escalations
- Collaborate closely with automation engineers and our analytics team to understand how processes can be optimized or automated
- Collaborate with third party vendors to build partnerships that result in measurable growth or ROI for the business
Your experience:
- 5+ years of strategic product management experience, ideally for a service product
- 2+ years of leading & developing a high-performing team
- A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
- Experience in the insurance or insurance compliance industry, including licensing compliance
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- High growth startup experience is a plus
