Job Summary:

Embrace is seeking a Claims Adjuster- Associate. The Claims Adjuster - Associate is responsible for providing exceptional service to pet parents by efficiently and accurately processing claims, handling medical documents, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role includes direct communication with pet parents and veterinary clinics, through phone and email regarding claims-related questions.

In addition to their primary responsibilities, the Claims Adjuster - Associate assists other departments as needed by answering questions, providing insights, and completing claims-related tasks that support broader organizational goals. Collaboration and teamwork are essential components of this role, ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the company. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who accepts personal responsibility for their tasks and takes initiative to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, with clear communication, advance notice, and training provided to ensure success. This role is ideal for a motivated, compassionate professional who excels in balancing technical expertise, and customer service skills to support the company’s goals and mission.

The Claims Adjuster- Associate role offers a flexible schedule and requires occasional late adjuster shifts (4:00pm-8:00pm EST) as determined by the needs of the business.

Job Location: Remote - USA

Main Responsibilities:     

  • Review, evaluate, and settle wellness, illness, and accident claims
  • Calculate coverage amounts accurately and efficiently minimizing errors and processing time.
  • Follow up with pet parents and veterinary clinics for additional required information as needed.
  • Communicate efficiently with pet parents in response to all phone, email, or web inquiries about claim-related questions in an acceptable time frame as determined by the Claims Leadership Team.
  • Achieve internal goals for processing efficiencies set by the Claims Leadership Team.
  • Generate new ideas to improve current protocols, customer satisfaction, and service levels.
  • Accept personal responsibility for your tasks and actions in the claims department. Follow-through with contacts, claims, and other tasks assigned to you.
  • Seek appropriate assistance in completing tasks if you are unsure of the procedure or protocol.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
