Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a highly strategic and visionary Senior Data Automation/Marketing Ops Lead to design and oversee our global marketing technology stack and data platform ecosystem. Firmly seated within the digital marketing organization, this role is explicitly differentiated from traditional IT functions; instead, you will serve as the critical bridge, partnering closely with IT for flawless technical execution. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Data and Operations, this leader will drive digital acquisition capabilities, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence, enabling end-to-end performance tracking, and optimizing operational workflows for unprecedented scale and efficiency. The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-changing environment, acting as the primary technical architect to ensure our technology foundation actively supports aggressive global business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the principal marketing architect for the marketing technology stack, actively partnering with IT to design and execute the full end-to-end (E2E) vision.
- Lead the MarTech council, serving as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in marketing for the rigorous technical evaluation of proposed vendors and marketing use cases.
- Act as the primary technical interface between Marketing and IT ensuring seamless solution design, implementation, and the proactive communication of MarTech stack requirements to Engineering/IT stakeholders.
- Be the marketing lead, guide and direct the solution design and development of a fully integrated MarTech ecosystem, in collaboration with IT, to enable real-time omnichannel journey orchestration and facilitate agentic automation.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure successful, compliant, and efficient Customer Data Platform (CDP) development and implementation.
- Champion technical best practices for real-time data processing, modeling, and seamless AI deployment, driving automation and replacing manual processes with intelligent workflows.
- Design, document, and implement highly scalable operational processes (SLAs, governance) that optimize workflow efficiency, productivity, and quality across all global digital operations.
- Enforce rigorous data quality, governance, and operational excellence across all acquisition processes (data pipelines, tag management) with a mandatory zero-error mentality.
Qualifications
- Extensive progressive experience in MarTech, Marketing Operations, or Digital Marketing roles, with a proven track record of leading technical initiatives.
- Extensive experience driving design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure that meet the demands of real-time decisioning.
- Expert-level knowledge of technical integrations across the MarTech stack, including CDPs, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), and internal data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Deep technical fluency in leveraging AI/ML, Generative AI, and predictive modeling for real-time data orchestration.
- Proven ability to translate complex business objectives into detailed technical requirements and user stories (PRDs), managing a development backlog alongside internal engineering teams.
- Strong understanding and practical application of global data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their real-world impact on data usage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional program management skills, utilizing agile methodologies to drive large-scale, complex cross-functional technical projects.
- Ability to lead at the intersection of business and technology with a passion for marketing technology, clearly differentiating marketing ecosystem needs from traditional IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success integrating and scaling comprehensive technology solutions: Marketing Automation, CRM, Predictive Analytics, and Data Enrichment.
- Strong cross-functional relationship development skills, specifically in establishing effective program management processes between Marketing and IT.
- Experience leading an organization through rapid growth as well as acting as a change agent and transformation leader.
- Comfort with accountability and the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
