Role Description

The Procurement Vendor Relations Lead is responsible for supporting NeueHealth’s procurement and vendor management capabilities. This role supports major purchasing decisions, contract negotiations, and managing process controls to support more automated tracking and reporting of procurement activity and savings.

Your Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management & Procurement Processes:
    • Manage purchasing activities and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure strategic purchasing decisions are well-informed, compliant, and well managed.
    • Work with vendors to ensure best possible pricing, quality, discounts, and service levels.
    • Evaluate bid exception requests as appropriate.
    • Develop and maintain vendor management processes to ensure compliance with contract requirements (e.g., scorecards, joint business reviews, vendor ‘get well plans,’ etc.).
    • Manage competitive bidding process and ensure that contracts are awarded as appropriate.
  • Strategic Initiatives – New Acquisitions:
    • Support procurement operations for company acquisitions including the procurement of office purchases, technology needs, and vended solutions.
    • Assess, evaluate, and make recommended changes to procurement processes and decisions for acquired entities.
    • Perform appropriate due diligence on acquisition purchasing decisions.
  • Continuous Process Improvement:
    • Undertakes process and departmental improvement projects identified individually or as a team.
    • Update Procurement policies and procedures when required based on internal audit recommendations.
    • Training internal teams on new procurement and vendor management processes.
    • Completes other assignments and initiative-based projects balancing company need, individual skill-set, and individual desire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a general procurement role required; minimum of 2 years of experience in Corporate Services related spend (Finance, HR, Legal, Office Services, etc.) required.
  • Proven experience as a vendor manager required.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective at negotiation.
  • Skilled at building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superb written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Attentive to detail, self-motivated, ability to work well with others at all levels across the organization.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
