Role Description
We are looking for potential participants for our 2026 Summer Internship Program and are excited to invite driven and self-motivated candidates to apply! Ensono is dedicated to cultivating talented individuals with unique skillsets who know how to dream big and build bigger! This is a paid position. Ensono’s paid internship is a 12-week program that runs from May 18th to August 7th, 2026 and could lead to a part-time or full-time position within Ensono.
Our summer internship is the entry point into our 12-month rotational program. The program aims to create a pathway to full-time employment and develop well-rounded junior associates with great potential.
Each summer we choose two interns to join Ensono full-time and gain experience in different departments over 3-month rotations.
Because of this, our ideal intern candidate would graduate by December 2026 and be interested in full-time opportunities after the internship ends.
The Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Intern supports the integration of information technology (IT) and facilities management to help monitor and document data center infrastructure. In this role, the intern learns how DCIM tools are used to track assets, manage capacity, and maintain accurate configuration data within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
The intern will assist with using DCIM software, identifying basic issues, and working with team members to improve system functionality.
What you can look forward to doing:
- AI‑Enhanced work for power monitoring data to enable analytics and alert management
- Capacity management analytics of raised floor and rack space
- Detailed cable, connectivity, and dependency modeling (power chains, fiber/copper connections, device relationships)
Qualifications
- Basic understanding or interest in physical data center components such as racks, servers, networking equipment, and storage
- Interest in learning how power, cooling, and space impact data center capacity
- Willingness to learn how equipment is physically connected, including ports, cables, and network paths
- Interest in monitoring tools that track equipment health, system status, and alerts
- Exposure to or enthusiasm for automation tools that document equipment layouts (e.g., rack diagrams, 3D models)
- Understanding of or interest in processes used to track equipment moves, adds, and changes within a data center
