    • Collaborate with the Specifications (SPEC) team to confirm project costs, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Project Execution & Coordination
    • Use ERP systems, trackers, and customer portals to manage work orders, track progress, and communicate updates on energy-related initiatives.

    • Issue purchase orders (POs) for project-related costs (e.g., material distributors, field partners, equipment rentals).
  • Monitoring & Controlling
    • Track project budgets to meet or exceed required Gross Profit Margin (GPM) guidelines.
    • Identify and address project risks, resolving issues with creative solutions that minimize disruptions and maintain profitability.
    • Obtain, log, and organize work order–related documentation, such as surveys, drawings, customer approvals, and email communications.
    • Communicate project status and updates to managers, customers, and other stakeholders, escalating concerns as needed.
    • Perform quality control checks to maintain high standards and achieve defined project outcomes.
  • Project Close-Out & Reporting
    • Complete project close-out activities, including ensuring all required documents are delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and send invoices and completion documents to finalize billing.
    • Provide consistent reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., site managers, vendors, corporate contacts).
    • Occasionally travel to client offices or project sites for on-site validation, final inspections, or issue resolution.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Manage multiple work orders simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and external partners.
    • Provide general project support and assistance as directed by the Account Manager or senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for advanced functions like V-lookups and PivotTables), and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional ability to manage work based on urgency, customer expectations, and project importance.
  • Strong customer service orientation, effective verbal/written communication, and a team-focused mindset.
  • Proven success in identifying risks, addressing challenges, and proposing cost-effective, out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Prior experience with lighting, electrical, or energy efficiency programs is preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of project management experience, ideally involving lighting, electrical, or energy-focused initiatives.
