Job Description
Role Description
Joining UNICEF as a Health Specialist for the Community Health Delivery Partnership (CHDP) means becoming part of one of the most ambitious global efforts to transform how primary health care reaches the world’s most underserved communities. UNICEF is a global leader in advancing community‑based primary health care, and through the Global Programme Division and its Centres of Excellence, you will contribute to shaping policies and partnerships that directly influence health outcomes for millions of children and families.
Based in New York, you will be at the heart of a dynamic, highly connected global ecosystem—working closely with leading global health institutions, innovative financing partners, and country teams across multiple regions. The CHDP brings together governments, global alliances, donors, and technical agencies to strengthen community health systems, elevate the status and support of community health workers, and drive investments that are aligned with country priorities.
This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise to a platform that champions equity, accelerates progress toward universal health coverage, and supports countries to translate policy commitments into real improvements for communities. You will help ensure that country voices drive global action, that evidence flows seamlessly across regions, and that investments in health systems are strategic, coordinated, and rooted in the realities of community‑level service delivery.
For a motivated health professional who thrives at the intersection of technical leadership, partnerships, data, and country engagement, this role offers a rare chance to influence global directions while supporting tangible results on the ground. If you are passionate about advancing community health, strengthening primary health care, and driving impact at scale, the CHDP is a platform where your leadership and technical expertise will truly matter.
