Role Description

The New Services Coordinator (Pharmacy Technician) is primarily responsible for managing the initial prescription fulfillment process from inception to delivery by compiling and maintaining patient data to document patient’s prescription profile, conditions, and treatment. Specifically, the New Services Coordinator will:

  • Contact new patients by phone to review medications, shipment dates, allergies, medical conditions, etc.
  • Set expectations regarding Curant Health services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a superior patient experience by delivering pharmacy customer service to newly enrolled patients.
  • Make outgoing initial enrollment calls to newly enrolled patients daily.
  • Accurately document patient information into the pharmacy software and/or enrollment system (Medplan).
  • Generate initial paperwork for Patient Care Coordinators to present to the pharmacy department for fulfillment and shipping.
  • Document all pertinent information on patient communications.
  • Refer patients or patient's caregiver to other community resources as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support as assigned by manager.
  • Provide backup support to team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Georgia.
  • Minimum of 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
