Job Description
• Perform structural analysis and design of substation steel and concrete elements
• Prepare calculations and sealed design deliverables
• Develop construction drawings and specifications
• Review shop drawings
• Apply relevant codes and standards (ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NESC/IEEE as applicable)
• Use industry software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA/SAP2000, AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit)
• Coordinate closely with internal project managers, electrical engineers, contractors, and utility clients
Job Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in Structural Engineering or related structural design field
- Knowledge of Structural design requirements and standards (ASCE 7, ASCE 113, IBC, etc.)
- BSCE degree from an accredited college or university
- PE license is highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Team Player: Works well as a member of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Occasional travel
- Ability to interpret written/documented specifications and apply them to engineering design.
