Role Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity for a General Manager/Product Manager. This is a remote position.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including:

  • Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • Paid holiday, vacation, and sick time
  • 401K with company contribution
  • Tuition reimbursement

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Product Strategy & Market Awareness
    • Own the product strategy, roadmap, portfolio positioning, and feature prioritization for the dental scanner program.
    • Maintain deep awareness of competitive and technology developments in digital scanners and dental CAD/CAM ecosystems.
    • Partner with IT and Product Innovation teams to evaluate emerging scanner technologies and integrate technical insights into product planning.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
    • Lead a cross-functional team across product, engineering, customer support, procurement, and operations to bring new scanners to market.
    • Work closely with Sales—not as a manager of Sales—to align on adoption goals, product positioning, customer feedback, and field execution.
    • Partner with the Education/Training team to build robust training pathways that accelerate dentist scanner onboarding and long-term usage.
  • Customer Adoption & Experience
    • Ensure rapid and successful deployment and adoption of digital scanners by dentists through well-planned onboarding, support, and user education programs.
    • Work with marketing and education teams to develop learning modules, clinical workflows, tutorials, and best practices.
    • Conduct voice-of-customer activities, site visits, and pilot programs to refine the product and improve user satisfaction.
  • Program Management & Execution
    • Manage the full lifecycle of the scanner program from concept through launch, including hardware, software, and integration components.
    • Oversee timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional execution.
    • Ensure high quality, regulatory compliance (where applicable), and readiness for scalable rollout.
    • Enforce stringent discipline in customer selection to maximize the opportunity while minimizing risks.
  • Business Ownership
    • Support go-to-market planning, positioning, value proposition development, competitive messaging, and pricing recommendations.
    • Track product performance, usage metrics, and customer feedback to inform ongoing product improvements.
    • Represent the program to executive leadership with clear reporting on progress, risks, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of product management, program management, or related leadership experience in:
    • Dental technology, digital dentistry, or dental CAD/CAM
    • 3D scanning (structured light, laser, imaging devices)
    • Medical device hardware and software development
  • Understanding of dental workflows, digital impressions, lab manufacturing, or scanning technologies strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, education/training, marketing, operations).
  • Experience launching hardware + software products, ideally with customer training components.
  • Demonstrated ability to build programs from the ground up and drive adoption in clinical or professional environments.
  • Strong communicator who builds alignment with Sales and Operations teams.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, conducting market assessments, and monitoring competitive and technology landscapes.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
